Ingredients
Serves 2 people
2 salmon fillets (with or without skin)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp soy sauce
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp ground ginger
1 tbsp Little b's Hot Honey (plus extra for serving)
1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
2 spring onions, thinly sliced
Preparation
1. Preparing the salmon
Pat the salmon dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, salt, pepper, and ground ginger. Brush both sides of the salmon with this mixture.
2. Cooking the salmon
Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Place the salmon skin-side down (or underside down) in the pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes, until the bottom is golden brown.
Flip the salmon and cook for another 2-3 minutes on the other side.
3. Adding Hot Honey
Lower the heat and generously brush the top of the salmon with Little b's Hot Honey.
Allow the honey to lightly caramelize (about 30 seconds to 1 minute) and remove the salmon from the pan immediately.
4. Finishing touches
Sprinkle the salmon with toasted sesame seeds and spring onions.
Serving
Serve with extra hot honey drizzle, white rice, quinoa, or roasted vegetables.
